February is Love Your Library month. Throughout February, check out a wrapped book from the library’s Blind Date with a Book display. Clues are provided to help you choose books, but the covers are hidden for a surprise reading choice. Use the form inside the book to rate their date and enter to win a gift card. Books on display will be from the Adult Services collection.

Bygone Days: A Victorian Tea (Friends Program)

Dressed in a Victoria tea dress customary for the times, Lynn Walter-Gibbs will speak about Tea, the product and the custom, made popular by the English in the 1800s. The history of tea, tea brewing, and the origin of the English Tea custom will be shared. Enjoy a tea tasting featuring various types and flavors of tea.

This FREE program is offered by the Friends of the Pauline Haass Public Library in support of the library’s mission of connecting area residents to ideas, information, and one another in a vibrant, welcoming environment.

Presented by the Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources, Inc. and the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Waukesha County. No registration required.

Wednesday Afternoon Book Club

This book discussion group meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. Copies of the books will be available for book club members at the library, so there will be no cost for you. Library Board Meeting

The Library Board meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the library’s Quad/Graphics Room. The agenda for the next regularly scheduled Library Board meeting is normally published five days prior to the meeting, and may be revised up until 24 hours in advance of the meeting.

LabTime in the KidsLab

Call 262-246-5182 to verify that a volunteer will be on duty the day you come in.
Drop by our KidsLab to imagine, explore, and create any time the library is open . . .

But Labtime is something new and different! LabTime is a special time when teen volunteers will assist and supervise special activities that are not generally available in the Lab. These include Dash robot, scribble machines, shrinky dinks, and more. Come by at your convenience during these time slots.

Grades 3 & up.

No registration. Just drop in!
