Memory Cafe @ Pauline Haass Public Library

Join us at the library for an informal social gathering to connect those with early-stage memory loss and their care-partner with conversation, activities, and refreshments. The event theme is “Around the Kitchen Table.” Join us to sample favorite family recipes and learn their history. Participants will be encouraged to share their favorite dishes and food traditions.

LabTime in the KidsLab

Drop by our KidsLab to imagine, explore, and create any time the library is open . . .

But Labtime is something new and different! LabTime is a special time when teen volunteers will assist and supervise special activities that are not generally available in the Lab. These include Dash robot, scribble machines, shrinky dinks, and more. Come by at your convenience during these time slots.

Grades 3 & up.

No registration. Just drop in!

Wednesday Afternoon Book Club

This book discussion group meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 2:00 p.m. Copies of the books will be available for book club members at the library, so there will be no cost for you. If you are interested in getting together for friendly discussions about thought provoking books, call the reference desk at 262-246-5181 and ask for Angela.

Library Board Meeting

The Library Board meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the library’s Quad/Graphics Room. The agenda for the next regularly scheduled Library Board meeting is normally published five days prior to the meeting, and may be revised up until 24 hours in advance of the meeting.

Identity Theft: Protect and Prevent (Friends Program)

Identity theft continues to be the fastest growing crime in the United States. The different types of identity theft will be explained during this presentation by the Wisconsin Bureau of Consumer Protection. Learn how to spot the red flags of a scam and about Fraud Alerts and Security Freezes.

This FREE program is offered by the Friends of the Pauline Haass Public Library in support of the library’s mission of connecting area residents to ideas, information, and one another in a vibrant, welcoming environment.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Apr 18 @ 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Evening Storytime featuring bedtime stories and quieting-down activities — wear PJs if you wish! Bring a favorite cuddle toy that sleeps over at the library. Pick up your stuffed animal the following day.
Registration is required. Visit the Children’s Services desk to register.
