Unless otherwise stated, these programs are only open to teens in grades 7-12. All events are free; some events require registration. If you have questions or would like to register for a program, call the library at 262-246-5181.

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

Make a Difference @ Your Library!

The Pauline Haass Public Library invites you to join our Teen Advisory Board (TAB).

Being a TAB Member is a great way to:

  • Earn Volunteer Hours
  • Design and assist with library programs
  • Advise on library projects
  • Meet friends and have fun!

To be a TAB Member you must:

  • Be in grades 7-12
  • Attend Monthly Meetings
  • Attend a teen program
  • Promote library events (invite your friends to join us!)
  • Give input on future programs and projects
  • Keep an open mind and great attitude when confronted with people, situations, and/or opinions that might be unfamiliar to you. The Pauline Haass Public Library Teen Advisory Board aims to be an inclusive group made up of middle and high school students in our community.

Teen Tuesdays

Teen Anime Club – 3:30 PM, Tuesday, November 14

Sit back, relax, and watch anime with fellow otaku! Attendees will vote on what to watch the day of the event. Register here.

Sharpie Mug Art – 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5

Make a custom mug for a family member, a friend, or yourself! Registration is open and available here!

TeenTober Reading Challenge

October 1-31

Read at least three books belonging to different genres during the month of October to complete the challenge and win a prize. Sign up on the Beanstack app, online at phplonline.beanstack.org, or at the library starting October 1.

Teen Scavenger Hunt

October 23-31

Join us for a spooktacular scavenger hunt! Visit the library during open hours to hunt down  monsters hiding in the library.

Find 8 of the 10 hidden creatures and enter to win a fun, spooky prize. Clues and answer sheets will be available at the adult reference desk starting October 23.

Costumes are welcome!

No registration required; just drop in.

 

Forts & Flashlights

6:00-8:00 PM – Friday, November 10
All Ages

Bring your blankets, friends, and flashlights and build a reading fort in the library after hours! 

 

Holiday Book Sale

Saturday, November 18, 9:30 AM – 3 PM
Sunday, November 19, 1-3 PM

Join the Friends of Pauline Haass Public Library for their annual Holiday Book Sale! Find gently used books, gifts for library lovers, and book related items.

 

 

Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

All Ages

Submission Deadline: November 30

Public Display: December 1-30

Join our third annual all-ages Gingerbread Decorating Contest! You can enter as a team or as an individual. Categories include Adult, Teen, Children, and Family. Rules and guidelines will be posted on this page on October 2!

Request one today!

PHPL is offering a monthly box for teens with books, snacks, and crafts. Simply request a box each month, swing by to pick it up, and return the box and books when you’re done. The rest is yours to keep!
