Ages 0-5K – IditaRead Puppies!
IditaRead puppies will be racing along a shortened version of the IditaRead trail, reaching checkpoints with their reading. Puppies will need to complete 13 hours of reading to get through all of the checkpoints and pass the finish line. The first 50 finishers receive a prize and all finishers can enter a drawing for a grand prize. See our handy guide on how to use the Beanstack app for this program.
Don’t forget to stop by the library and pick up your paper puppy to decorate and have run on the library IditaRead Puppies map to track your progress!
Grades 1-6
Race onto our Beanstack app to read and track your progress in our winter reading challenge! Readers will be racing along the IditaRead trail, reaching checkpoints with their reading. Readers will need to complete 27 hours of reading to get through all of the checkpoints and pass the finish line. The first 50 finishers in each age group (grades 1-3 and grades 4-6) receive a prize and all finishers can enter a drawing for a grand prize. Want more ways to win an IditaRead prize? Take part in our musher’s challenge and answer six trivia questions during the IditaRead program, a new fact and question available each week, for a chance to enter a prize drawing. We also have a prize for the racer who finishes the most reading so be sure to log past the 27 hour finishing mark!

Teens – Grades 7-12
Inspired by the 27 stages of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, your challenge is to log 27 hours of reading before the end of the day on February 26. For each hour of reading you complete, you’ll receive an entry for our Teen Raffle Prizes. Prizes include a $50 Nintendo Gift Card, Drawing Set, Calligraphy Starter Pack, Edgar Allen Poe Prize Pack, Mystery Book Bundle, Romantic Comedy Book Bundle and a Contemporary Fiction Book Bundle!
Adults
Inspired by the 27 stages of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, your challenge is to log 27 hours of reading before the end of the day on February 26. For each hour of reading you complete, you’ll receive an entry for our Adult Raffle Prizes. Prizes include gift cards for Quarry Coffee, Tony Maronni’s Pizza, Culver’s, Kwik Trip, and Loca Latte.
