Donate to the Library

Cash or check donations are accepted by the library to support the programs and services that make PHPL an asset to the community. Donations may also be made to honor a specific person, group, occasion, or milestone. The Library Foundation

The Pauline Haass Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that exists to provide supplemental funding for projects, equipment, or startup services beyond the scope of the municipality-financed PHPL budget. Donate Books and Other Materials

PHPL accepts donations of materials for use in the Library’s collection or for the Friends of the Library book sale. All proceeds of the book sale go to the Library.

stack of booksWe are happy to accept: Books, DVDs, music CDs, vinyl records, and audiobooks. Puzzles with ALL pieces. Items must be clean and in good condition (no markings, torn pages). Items must be completely intact without missing pages or parts.

We do NOT accept: Items with mold or odor. Cassette tapes, VHS, CD-ROMS, floppy discs, magazines, textbooks, yearbooks, crossword or other puzzle books. Items discarded from another library. Condensed book compilations (ie. Reader’s Digest). Computer or medical books older than 3 years. Travel books or maps older than 3 years. Encyclopedia sets older than 5 years (or incomplete sets). Materials made in violation of copyright laws.

Lots to donate? Due to space constraints, we are only able to accept one box or bag of donations at a time.

Donate during library hours: Please do not leave donated materials outside library doors after hours or put them in the book drop.

Materials donated to the library cannot be accepted on a conditional basis. Items not added to the collection cannot be returned to the donor. All containers become the property of the library.
