1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Ages 0-Kindergarten
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a reading incentive program for the youngest readers/listeners, beginning at birth. As you log your child’s reading on Beanstack, you’ll be notified when you reach certain milestones and become eligible for prizes. This is an ongoing challenge, so join anytime!

24 Books Reading Challenge
Teens & Adults
Read 2 books a month (or 24 books total) by the end of the calendar year to receive an exclusive PHPL bookmark and be entered to win a gift card. This is an ongoing challenge, so join anytime!

Summer Reading Program
All Ages

Welcome to the 2026 Summer Reading Program: “Unearth a Story!” Readers of all ages are invited to join the fun from June 1–August 29. This year’s theme celebrates dinosaurs, paleontology, archaeology, and the joy of discovery. Dig into great books, uncover new interests, and explore stories all summer long!

Starting June 1, sign up and begin tracking your progress on the Beanstack Tracker app or Beanstack online. Prefer tracking your reading on paper? Ask a librarian for a paper log.

Participants can read, attend programs, complete activities, and earn prizes throughout the summer. Be sure to check the library calendar for more information on programs and events for all ages.
